Dial |
Wondrous indeed. A warm copper patina dial, all original, with an outer band of white (minute marker), marked Croton Aquamatic in black on top. Applied numbers in darker copper lume. Hour and Minute hands and inset it whitish-green lume and a darker copper second subdial at 6 o'clock. This watch is a jewel. |
Case | Hefty case (for its small size) with bold lugs. These smaller cased watches were quite typical for the men's watches in the 1940s. Back marked "Aquamatic, Waterproof, Shock Proof and Self Winding". |
Movement | Movement not pictured due to difficult to access, but guaranteed to be the original Croton automatic movement, which has been serviced and comes with a 12-month mechanical warranty. This early automatic movement was not designed to be hand wound, so will only wind with wrist movement while wearing. |
