Size | Huge 38mm |
Dial | Original dial subtly aged to a parchment-like finish with raised gold numbers at 12 and 6, and raised faceted pyramid markers on balance of hour markers. Steel blue hour and minute markers. All chronograph functions operate correctly. Top pusher starts and pauses chrono while bottom pusher resets to 12:00. Month and day apertures (in Italian I think) and day markers around edge with red-tipped hand. |
Case | Yellow gold plated with some wear evident at tip of lugs. Plating wear is visible under lid, but this is not visible when lid is on. Overall good condition. Back signed Angelus, serial 234335, signed 335 around edge of case back, which validates a match to what is imprinted on inside of case lid. Lid snaps on tightly. |
Movement | Very clean 17 jewel Angelus movement. Cal 217 Swiss 14 lignes with Breguet hairspring. All functions work as they should. |
Age | 1940s |
Band | New premium Hadley Roma genuine crocodile reddish-brown strap with matching buckle. |
Other | Angelus is unique among chronographs since unlike most other chronographs companies who outsource the production of their movement, Angelus fabricated their own movements - explaining the layout of the month aperture on top and day at bottom - very unique. A 12 month mechanical warranty can be purchased for an extra $149. |
