Size | Huge 37mm |
Dial | Superb original chronograph with telemetre scale layout that is lightly aged like a fine old parchment map. Tricolor dial layout - silver, off white and chocolate brown - with beautiful boldly encircled design sub-dials. Hour, minute and chrono hands are in steel blue. Under the GP name at twelve o'clock is "La Chaux de Fonds". All functions working sharply and correctly. |
Case | Heavy 18K red gold case with wide bezel and fancy lugs. An amazingly hefty gold case. We weighed the case at 51.5 grams. Even if taking 50% of that weighed to the case itself (to account for the movement/dial) it would have a gold melt value of $832 at the current gold price of $1,341. Inside lid is signed 18K, 0.750 and case back is marked 170073 |
Movement | Girard-Perregaux signed chronograph movement which appears to be in the Valjoux 22 family of movements. Serviced and comes with a 9-month mechanical warranty. |
