||Antiqued soft rosy-melon color with original Arabic numerals nicely aged copper-brown. Wonderful. Original hands with a hint of cobalt steel blue and well preserved for age.
||Inside case marked Gruen 14K Gold Reinforced with Metal. Serial 5106524, 179 27. Tightest fitting case I've encountered for a watch of this age. Case designed with slight cut edge on each corner, adding a nice pleasing overall shape to the watch. Note the deco edge design taken all the way to the softly curved lugs. A few scratches on the crystal but does not distract.
||Premium movement amazingly to behold. Signed "Gruen Watch Co., Precision, 15 jewels, Serial 629533, adjusted to four (4) temp." Running strong and keeping good time.
||Late 1920s / Early 1930s
||Fitted with what I think is the original black leather strap and original buckle. Buckle looks "gold" in picture but really reflects some plating wear revealing what I expect is brass.
||Crown unsigned but appears to be original to the watch.
